Two high voltage electricity towers exploded Tuesday, in Kafr Al Dawar, Beheira Governorate, collapsing on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, Al Bawaba News reported. One of the towers had 3 IEDs attached to its base, they exploded destroying both towers and leading to a power outage in Ma'amal Al Zogag village, Beheira Governorate. Bomb disposal officers and civil security units were deployed to the scene, to inspect the area for other potential threats. They located a fourth bomb in the same province that was successfully defused. The two attacks are the latest in a series of similar incidents targeting power towers in several parts of the country.
