Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Riyadh late Monday to meet with his Saudi counterpart Saud Al Faysal to discuss escalating regional tensions, particularly in Syria and Yemen, FM spokesperson Badr Abdel Atty said. Shoukry and Al Faysal will discuss several regional and international issues of common interest, in the context of the current events in the Middle East especially in conflict zones such as Palestine, Syria and Yemen, Abdel Atty added. He pointed out that the meeting will also address the potential of resuming peace talks between Israel and Palestine, as well as Gaza reconstruction.
