Minister of Transitional Justice Ibrahim Al Heneidy announced Sunday that the government-appointed committee had prepared explanatory memorandum for the new Constituency Division Law. Al Heneidy added, during a press conference, that the committee prepared the memorandum to provide legal evidences that the new draft meets the constitutional standards. Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court ruled that the Constituency Division Law is unconstitutional during its session on March 1. The government approved the amended draft during its weekly meeting headed by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab. The draft is scheduled to be discussed by the State Council before its ratification by the Presidency.
