Alexandria's Urgent Matters Court will decide on Sunday whether to consider Qatar as a terrorism sponsor, Al Bawaba News reported. The case was filed by Director General of "Long Live Egypt" Fund Tariq Mahmoud, demanding to put the Gulf state among the countries sponsoring terrorism due to its support for the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). Tariq Mahmoud Said, "After January 25, 2011, Qatar has been interfering in Egypt's internal affairs, and supporting the MB financially and logistically, to allow the group control the country." He added that Qatar supported the terrorist actions committed by the extremist group after the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi to destabilize the country. He blamed the tiny Gulf state for sheltering prominent MB leaders and transferring 2500 fighter from al Qaeda to Egypt's Sinai, saying that they are clear evidence that this country is a sponsor of terrorism. Mahmoud also accused the Qatari government of supporting Islamic state (IS) in Iraq and Syria. He added that they provide them with money and weapons to launch terrorist attacks destabilize the region and to divide its countries. He signaled that Qatar did not condemn any act of violence executed by IS, while they provided support to Jabhet Al-Nusra (Alnusra front) financially to spark the chaos in Syria, to be the first country to support these radicals. Qatar also supported Ansar al-Sharia in Libya's (affiliate with AL-Qaida terrorist group) to allow them control parts of Libya to pave the way for targeting Egypt.
