Egyptian courts resumed Tuesday the trials of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and Salafist leaders, over violence and terror related charges, Al Bawaba News reported. MB Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and 92 other defendants will be tried on terrorism-related charges, including the illegal possession of firearms and arson. Cairo Criminal Court will also resume the trial of 104 MB members over violence related charges.
In Suez, the military court will try 17 MB members for the murder of a civilian December 13, 2013.
Salafist leader, Hazem Salah Abu Ismail's retrial also began Tuesday, as he appealed a one-year sentence issued by the Giza Criminal Court for insulting the police.
