Security forces killed Sunday leader of Ajnad Masr terrorist group after a gun fire exchange in Giza. Security sources said that Hamam Mohamed Atia was the leading member in Wilayat Sinai terrorist group, affiliated to Islamic State (IS), before he left the group in 2013 and established Ajnad Masr jihadist group. The Ministry of Interior spokesperson, Gen. Hani Abdelatif announced that Atia was responsible for 26 terrorist attacks that targeted police and military personnel, as well as civilians. The sources from Egyptian Homeland Security told Al Bawaba News that security forces found a machine gun, a pistol and 4 explosive devices at Atia's home. Ajnad Masr is an Islamist militant group that was formed in November 2013 and targeted Egyptian security forces. On Saturday, the group claimed responsibility for the explosion that occurred in the vicinity of a Metro entrance near Cairo University, and left eight injured.
