Egyptian courts will resume Sunday the trials of ousted President Mohamed Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group (MB) leaders, Mekameleen TV channel crew and the agitators of riots at Al Azhar University. Cairo criminal court will resume the trial of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and 10 other defendants, charged with leaking secret documents and reports on the Egyptian army to Qatar, in the case publicly known as the ‘espionage case.' The court will also resume the trial of suspects facing charges of inciting riots at Al Azhar University. The administrative court will look into the case of banning Turkey-based Mekameleen TV channel from being broadcasted via Nilesat satellites over charges of having connections with MB terrorist group. Suez Military court will resume the trial of 199 MBs, including group leaders Mohamed Badie, Safwat Hijazi and Mohamed Beltagy over terror related charges. The defendants face charges of attacking policemen and army personnel while performing their duties, burning police and army vehicles in Suez on the 14th and 16th of August in 2013, and illegal possession of weapons and ammunition used to target security forces.
