Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Saturday with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for talks over bilateral relations for the welfare and interests of the two countries and the two brotherly nations, Qatari News Agency (QNA) reported. The meeting was held in Sharm El Sheikh International Airport early Saturday after an enlarged meeting. Talks addressed regional and international issues of common interest, mainly the latest developments in the region. They also discussed means of boosting the Arab solidarity and joint action and a number of topics listed on the agenda of the 26th Arab League Summit. Relations between Egypt and Qatar witnessed tension in the past two years, over Egyptian accusations to Doha of supporting the terrorist organization, Muslim Brotherhood. Qatar had withdrawn its ambassador to Cairo on February, following the dispute between the two countries over the Egyptian airstrike on Islamic State in Libya, before the urgent session of Arab League.
