The Moroccan authorities announced Wednesday that they had dismantled 132 terrorist cells that planned for 119 terrorist attacks in the period between 2002 to 2015. Chief of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), Abdelhak Khayyam said that the Moroccan security forces had thwarted 276 terrorist attacks aimed at assassinating politicians and security personnel, as well as stealing their weapons. Khayyam added that 1354 Moroccans had joined armed groups in Syria and Iraq including 185 women and 135 children. He pointed out that 220 militant had returned home and 286 others had been killed.
