Egyptian courts will resume Monday the trial of a number of defendants in terror-related lawsuits, including the storming of Al Arab police station in Port Said, communication with the Islamic State jihadist group, and ousted President Mohamed Morsi's espionage case. Cairo criminal court will resume the trial of former Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide, Mohamed Badie and 190 other codefendants over charges of charges of storming a police station and helping prisoners escape, in the case publicly known as "Al Arab police station in Port Said". The court will also resume the trial of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and 10 other codefendants in the espionage case over charges of leaking secret documents and reports about the Egyptian army and Egypt's public policies to Qatar and Qatari TV channel, Al Jazeera. Zagazig criminal court will try 35 defendants accused of communicating with the Islamic State jihadist group (IS), inciting violence, and attacking police facilities.
