Sharqia Prosecution office referred Sunday 90 suspects including university students to military trial over terror related charges, according to reports. The suspects were arrested in separate incidents over accusations of bombing power lines, cutting roads, inciting violence and joining terrorist groups. The referral comes after Egypt extended the jurisdiction of military courts October 27, 2014 through a presidential decree by President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi allowing military courts to try civilians. The decree stipulates that all public facilitates are considered military zones for two years, therefore any attack on them would be referred military courts.
