Coordinator of the "Gama'a Al Islamiya Reformation Front" criticized Sunday the statement made by the Islamic Group in which they condemned the killing of Arab Sunnis by Iranian militias, Al Bawaba News reported Sunday. The Front's coordinator, Sherif Abou Tabanga, told Al Bawaba News that such statements 'do not wash the Gama'a Al Islamiya's hands of Egyptian blood.' "They committed crimes against all Egyptians, burned churches and police stations, and contributed to spread the dogma of the Islamic State (IS) and Takfiri groups in the society", he added. "The Egyptian ministry of Interior should force the Islamic Group to withdraw from the alliance that supports ousted president Mohamed Morsi and apologize to Egyptians for all the crimes they have committed" Abou Tabanga said. Al Gama'a Al Islameya (Islamic Group) fought an insurgency against the Egyptian government in the 80s and 90s during which at least 796 Egyptian policemen and soldiers, Al Gama'a Al Islamiyya fighters, and civilians including dozens of tourists were killed.
