An explosion took place at the early hours of Friday, targeted the electricity transformer at Algeria St in Maadi, south Cairo, Al Bawaba News reported. Team of bombs experts and members of general prosecution moved to the place of accident, in order to examine the crime scene and comb the area, searching for potential bombs. Firemen succeeded in putting out the fire. The explosion caused power outage in the entire area. The capital witnessed within the past few hours two explosions, one of them took place in the main natural gas pipelines of Tenth and Eleventh districts in October 6 city, with no causalities reported, and the other in Al Tagneed Square in Heliopolis, northeastern Cairo, leaving at least one civilian wounded, according to eyewitnesses.
