Deputy minister of Interior for Public Security Affairs, General Sayed Shafiq said Saturday security forces continue to raid terrorist hideouts as part of a wide range operation to restore stability and security. Shafiq stated that security forces arrested 30 members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in several raids on terrorist hideouts in 10 provinces, including Port Said, Beheira, South Sinai, Asyut, Alexandria, Daqahleya, Damietta, Fayoum, Beni Sweif and Aswan, over charges of assaulting military and police personnel and inciting violence. Egypt declared the Brotherhood a terrorist group on December 25, 2013, following an explosion at a security building in Nile Delta's Mansoura, leaving 16 killed and 100 injured.
