Egypt's President, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi praised his French counterpart, President François Hollande for his understanding of the current situation in Egypt, in an interview on France's Europe 1 radio on Tuesday. Sisi highlighted France's positive reaction to the Egyptian demands of military cooperation between the two countries, manifested in the €5.2 billion deal of the 24 Rafale warplanes, a naval frigate and missiles, spokesperson for the presidency, Ambassador Alaa Youssef said. Youssef added that signing this deal in such a short time reflects the exchangeable trust between the Egyptian and French leaderships, stressing on the importance of boosting Egypt's military capabilities to face the rising danger of terrorism, especially in Sinai.
