Islamic State jihadist group executed Tuesday 23 of its fighters in Nineveh governorate in Iraq on charges of cowardice and betrayal. A source from Nineveh, who asked to remain anonymous, told an Iraqi website that IS has issued their death sentence after they fled the battlefield during their fight against Peshmerga Kurdish forces in Mosul last week. Nineveh governorate witnessed today an international coalition airstrike southeast of Mosul, which left 29 IS' fighters dead.
