The Islamic State group (IS) said it will deploy fighters to Yemen to fight against the Houthi rebels' military coup, declaring they wouldn't let Yemen fall in the hands of Shiite Raafidis. Jihadist Yaacoub Ahmed stated that IS is obligated to intervene in Yemen, calling on Islamist groups in Yemen to unite under IS leadership to avoid any conflicts over power which may result in a Shiite victory.
IS called on its members to start working in a decentralized way to counteract the communication blackout between groups militants due to air strikes by the International collation.
Sources revealed that IS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi ordered the commanders of IS provinces to work independently according to the escalations on the ground.
IS' weaponry has drastically decreased due to the frequent air strikes carried out by the International collation targeting the group, after the execution of Jordanian pilot Moaz Al Kasassbeh January 29.
February 6, Houthi rebels announced the dissolution the parliament and the establishment of a presidential council to run the country in the face of a power vacuum, amid the group's seizure of the Capital Sana'a and the placing President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi and Prime Minister Kaheld Bahah under house arrest. The group released a constitutional decree of 16 articles, including the formation of a 551 members new Parliament to take over power.
