The United States strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that took place in North Sinai in which at least 29 soldiers were killed and dozens were wounded, in a press statement on Thursday. "We express our sincere condolences to the victims, their families, and the government and people of Egypt," US Department of State spokesperson Jen Psaki said.
Psaki stressed that the United States still supports the Egyptian government in its fight against terrorism in Egypt as part of the "US commitment to the strategic partnership between the two countries."
