One day after the brutal clashes between the police and protestors, marking the 4th anniversary of the Jan. 25 uprising, security forces received reports of explosive packages found at various sites in Egypt, media reported on Monday. Railway travel in Sohag was halted for an hour after an explosive package was found at Sohag railway station. Bomb disposal officers inspected the package which turned out to be a fake device. Cairo's Nasr City Courtroom was evacuated after a bomb alert was issued, with reports of a bomb having been found in front of the court's building. Bomb disposal authorities were informed and officers deployed to the scene to diffuse the bomb. Another package was found under a power line in Beheira causing widespread panic among locals, after two bombs caused a power outage on Sunday. Explosive detection dogs are scanning the scene for other potential threats.
