Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil El-Araby met with EU Foreign Affairs Committee Tuesday, in Brussels for talks over terrorism, the Palestinian cause, and the crises in Libya, Syria, and Iraq. El-Araby and EU foreign ministers discussed the Arab efforts to propose a new Palestinian statehood draft resolution before the Security Council, to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, according to an AL statement. Araby and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini signed a cooperation agreement between the Arab league and the EU, in terms of crisis management, Humanitarian relief, facing terrorism and the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. El-Araby praised the UN envoy to Libya Bernadino León for his efforts to meet Libya's warring factions in Geneva for peace talks. Regarding the Syrian crisis, El-Araby urged the EU for political support to resolve the crisis and end the suffering of 13 million refugees.
