The U.S. condemned Friday the International criminal court's decision to investigate Israel's war crimes in occupied Palestinian territories, describing it as a "tragic irony". "We strongly disagree with the ICC prosecutor's action today", State Department spokesperson, Jeff Rathke said. "It is a tragic irony that Israel, which has withstood thousands of terrorist rockets fired at its civilians and its neighborhoods, is now being probed by the ICC", he added. Palestinians were granted ICC's membership January 2015, allowing them to file lawsuits against Israel, over war crimes in occupied territories as of April. The move was strongly opposed by U.S.
