The General Authority for Red Sea Ports announced Wednesday that the closure of five ports would continue for a second day due to bad weather conditions, including high winds and large waves. The authority's head, Hisham Abu-Sena, warned small boat captains from sailing in Suez port until the weather clears. The spokesperson of the authority, Mustafa Abdul Rahim, said that the decision to close the five ports aims to protect port workers and to ensure ship safety.
