"I am pleased on behalf of myself and the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church to congratulate you and all our beloved Muslim brothers on the occasion of Prophet Mohamed's birthday," the Pope said in his telegram, "I pray God will give you the strength to overcome the challenges facing the nation to meet the hopes and ambitions of Egyptians for building a bright future, befitting our beloved Egypt and its generous people." The Islamic world is commemorating today the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
