Egypt's ministry of justice asked Qatar on Thursday to extradite the Muslim Brotherhood leaders who fled to the Gulf state following the ouster of Mohamed Morsi on June 30, 2013. Counselor Adel Fahmy, the ministry's secretary for international cooperation, stated that Egypt exerts extensive efforts to repatriate the fugitives in order to be tried over accusations of inciting violence.
The EgyptianQatari relations have witnessed severe tension following the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood regime, and the flee of its leaders to Doha, where they were offered unlimited access to Al- Jazeera channels to attack Egypt.

Among the wanted, the Qatari cleric from Egyptian origins Yusuf al-Qaradawi, leader of the Islamic Group Assem Abdel Maged, and other MB leaders involved in violence related crimes.
Recently an arrest warrant was issued against Qaradawi by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), over charges of inciting violence, committing premeditated murder, facilitating a prison escape and involvement in arson.
