Spokeswoman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Marzieh Afkham announced in a press conference Wednesday that Iran will hold nuclear negotiations with the P5+1 group on January 15th at Geneva. Afkham explained that there will be a bilateral meeting, in addition to a meeting with a wide range of parties involved. She stressed that the talks with the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, Russia, China, France, Britain, and the United States, plus Germany, aimed at reaching a comprehensive nuclear agreement. In the same context, Afkham criticized the recent United States sanctions that have been imposed against Iran, clarifying that these sanctions are contrary to the progress that have been reached so far.
