US-led coalition airstrikes killed the Islamic State's governor of Mosul, Saeed Al-Jabouri, on Thursday night, according to the Iraqi army. Al-Jabouri, also known as Abu Taluut, was killed in Mosul, said Maj. Gen. Watheq Al-Hamdani, commander of the Iraqi forces commissioned to retake Mosul from ISIS. Jabouri, the second ISIS governor of Mosul, was appointed by ISIS less than 25 days ago, succeeding Radwan Taleb Al-Hamdouni who was killed along with his three assistants in U.S. airstrikes. More than 100 people were killed and dozens of others were seriously injured in six airstrikes launched by Syrian forces on the ISIS held city of Al- Bab and the town of Qbasin in the northeast part of Aleppo province, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
