Three more bodies were pulled from the Red Sea early Thursday raising the number of Egyptian fishermen killed in a boat crash to 20, according to a statement of Red Sea Ports Authority spokesperson. The spokesperson Abdel Rahim Mostafa said that rescue operations held by expert divers from Suez Canal Authority is ongoing since the morning, with the help of Egyptian naval forces searching for more victims under the water. The boat, ‘Badr al-Islam', was carrying 40 Egyptian fishermen and sailing in the Gabal al-Zayt region in the Gulf of Suez when it crashed into a Kuwaiti cargo ship early Sunday. Thirteen of the 40-person crew were rescued and seven others are still missing. Daqahliyah Governor Omar al-Shawadfi stated previously that those injured, so far 13, will be compensated with 2,000 Egyptian pounds each, reported state-run news agency MENA. On the other hand, the Kuwaiti ship is still in custody at Safaga port waiting for the public prosecution to complete its investigation.
