The global logistics center national project will have 7.2 million tons of storage capacity for grains and food products, according to Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khaled Hanafi. The project will also include five industrial areas in different fields, explained the minister in a meeting with American investors yesterday. Hanafi added that they received many offers from international and Arab companies to invest in the project, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Sudan. The ministry also got investment offers from Japan, US, Canada, Italy, Russia, Slovenia, and the Netherlands among other countries. The logistics center is located in Damietta near the new Suez Canal axis and is projected to transform Egypt into a global hub for logistics activities.
