Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab, signed yesterday a loan deal with Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) worth 30 million Kuwaiti dinars. The loan, estimated at 105 million dollars, will be used to expand the power plant west of Cairo. The KFAED loan will be paid over a 24 year period with a six year grace period. The power station project will provide an additional 650 megawatts of electricity.
