First phase of "National Museum of Civilization" will be opened in November, according to the statements of Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty Minister of Antiquities Monday. The Minister pointed out that work on this phase has ended and that the Ministry is currently implementing second phase of the museum. His statements came during a tour to follow up the developments in the museum and he was accompanied by number of officials. Damaty met with concerned authorities after the tour to discuss facing any obstacle in the project in preparations for full opening of "National Museum of Civilization" as soon as possible to welcome local and international visitors. The museum is part of ministry's plan to open new attractions to revive tourism in Egypt. And it is expected that the mentioned museum will include 50,000 ancient artifacts in its opening, and it will be one of the most important museums in the world. Antiquities Minister also said that the museum will be cultural and research center at the highest level.
