The number of tourists, coming from all over the world to Egypt, reached 883.9 thousand during September 2014 compared to September 2013, which covered 301.2 thousand tourists constituting an augmentation of 193%, according to a statement by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS). This is in addition to lifting the travel ban on citizens of the countries that export tourism to Egypt, besides the surge of cultural and scientific activities during the last period. In the same context, Eastern Europe represents the top country sending tourists to Egypt during September 2014 (47.5%), followed by Western Europe (26.8%), and then came the Middle East that constitutes 16.0%, as stated by CAPMAS.
