THE 11th Hurghada International Squash Championship will be held from 28 March to 4 April. The first round will take place for two days in the squash complex at Cairo Stadium. Beginning the quarter-finals, the competitors will move to the glass court in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada. Last year's finalists, Egypt's Rami Ashour and Amr Shabana, find themselves in the same half this time with compatriot Karim Darwish and Frenchman Gregory Gaultier. They are expected to battle it out for a place in the final from the top half of the draw. In the women's event defending champion Omneya Abdel-Kawi of Egypt is seeded third behind Rachael Grinham and Jenny Duncalf but the Egyptian favourite beat them both on the way to claiming the title last year. So the crowd will be hoping for a repeat performance and another Egyptian double.
