The UEFA EURO 2012 opening ceremony at the National Stadium in Warsaw tomorrow is expected to attract billions of viewers throughout the world. The opening ceremony will start 20 minutes before the opening match between Poland and Greece. It will offer a fitting curtain-raiser to three weeks of a celebration of national team football in co-hosts Poland and the Ukraine. The squads have now been finalised and 368 players can now look forward in earnest to this summer's tournament. To whet your appetite, UEFA.com has launched a detailed player browser which tells you everything from the tallest teams to which defenders scored most in qualifying, via the players trending on Twitter. For instance, The Netherlands boast the most experienced squad ê" averaging 42 caps between them. With 94 appearances, Rafael van der Vaart tops their lot. France and co-costs Poland are at the other end of the spectrum with an average of 21 caps in their respective squads. With 129 caps, Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas is the most experienced player at the finals. Moreover, according to the player browser, Germany may have an advantage in aerial duels unless they play Croatia. Both sides' squads have an average height of 185cm, while the tallest individual player is Sweden goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson (199cm). As for scoring goals, the Netherlands scored the most goals in qualifying (37), while Greece were the least prolific team with 14, with six of those coming from defenders. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, the top individual scorer, contributed almost as many as he ended qualifying with 12 goals; Miroslav Klose was second on nine. The leading scorer four years ago, David Villa will not take part in Spain's title defence at the championship after ruling himself out because of the broken leg he suffered last December. Top scorer with four goals when La Roja lifted the Henri Delaunay Cup at UEFA EURO 2008, Villa's presence in Poland and Ukraine this summer looked doubtful from the moment he fractured the tibia in his left leg during FC Barcelona's FIFA Club World Cup campaign. The title holders also look likely to be without Carles Puyol following knee surgery. They begin their title defence against Italy in Gdansk on 10 June before taking on the Republic of Ireland four days later and Croatia on 18 June. On the other hand, Italy, Russia, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden will take the oldest squads to UEFA EURO 2012, with an average age of 28. At four years younger a man, Germany's squad are the youngest in the competition. At 37, Greece goalkeeper Kostas Chalkias is the oldest player at UEFA EURO 2012, while Netherlands defender Jetro Willems is the youngest at 18. If Willems makes an appearance, he will become the youngest ever player to take the field at a UEFA European Championship (the current record is held by Enzo Scifo at 18 years and 115 days).
