A RELATIVE novice captured a bronze medal for Egypt at the 2010 Cyprus Grand Prix trap, skeet and double trap championship held at Nicosia's Olympic shooting ranges from 22-29 March. In junior trap women, 19-year-old Egyptian Suzan Gaber, though participating in the Grand Prix for the first time, took third place with a total score of 57 targets, a four- target advantage over the rest of the pack. With only four years of practice under her belt, Gaber managed to finish ninth in last year's (ISSF) World Cup in Slovenia. Gaber is the winner of almost every national trap women's championship she has entered. Currently training under the tutelage of legendary American coach Lloyd Woodhouse for the 2010 World Championship in Munich, Gaber plans to stand on the highest step of the podium. The Nicosia range has previously hosted the World Championships, World Cups and European Championships, all belonging to the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).
