Abil Gaffer : The pyramid-shaped reef offers a most unusual site as its sides are covered in corals. Diversity of marine life is awe-inspiring. Huge schools of barracuda.
Abu Dabab : A collection of seven reefs with many swim-throughs and caves and frequent shark sightings on the southern outer reefs. Spanish dancers make this a popular site for night dives.
Abu Galawa : Hard coral garden on the north side and a wreck of an old tug boat fully covered with corals leaning on a pinnacle on the south side.
Abu Galawa Soghayar: On the northern tip of the "Fury Shoal" group, a breathtaking hard coral garden and a wreck packed with glassfish are the highlights of this site.
Daedalus Reef : A huge round reef offering excellent opportunities for spotting manta rays all around its steep walls, with good chances also for the schooling hammerheads on the north point. Strong currents possible.
Elphinstone Reef : Plunging walls covered with soft corals, sponges, gorgonians and fans. The northern plateau is home to schooling hammerheads with frequent sightings of oceanic white tip sharks.
Erg Diab : Circled in about 20 minutes, this single pinnacle rising from very deep water offers very good chances of encountering schooling hammerheads and the occasional thresher shark on the northern side. Very strong currents are frequent.
Gota Sharm : The currents around this big reef with big walls favour an abundance of soft corals and giant sea fans. Endemic malabar groupers and barracudas. Hammerheads and grey reef sharks in summer.
Habili Gamal : A small collection of pinnacles lying just below the surface. Large schools of jacks, oriental sweetlips, bannerfish, butterfly fish and goatfish. Only possible to dive in good weather conditions..
Rocky Island: One of the most stunning underwater scenarios of the whole Red Sea. Steep walls, currents, soft corals and all kinds of big fish.
Sataya : Also named "Dolphin Reef", this huge barrier reef offers shelter in an inner lagoon while the outer walls house schooling hammerheads, large tuna fish and jacks.
Shab Aiman : One of the most beautiful reefs in the Red Sea. A profusion of hard and soft coral covers a long plateau. White tip reef sharks can often be seen in the early morning.
Shaab Claude : Famous for its large labyrinth of swim-throughs with huge porite corals. An exquisite anemone and clownfish settlement is located on a small pinnacle a little off the reef to the south. White tip reef sharks frequent.
Shab Faraq : Sloping reef entirely carpeted with hard and soft coral. Numerous caves are home to a large number of invertebrates. Oceanic white tip and grey reef sharks are common.
Shab Maksur : Black corals, soft corals and fans thrive in the strong currents around this reef. Sharks feed on the napoleon and tuna fish.
Shab Marsa Alam : Coral gardens with huge blocks of porites. Shoals of banners, goatfish, snappers and jacks.
Shab Samadai (Dolphin House) : The horseshoe-shaped reef forms a shallow lagoon where a large school of spinner dolphins lives permanently. A large group of pinnacles rises to the surface on the western tip from a carpet of sea-grass populated by an abundance of fish.
St John's Reef : Incredibly rich site comprising numerous coral heads and islands. Many dives should be dedicated to this extensive site.
Zabargad: Enormous mountain emerging from the water surrounded by a lagoon and circling reef. Wrecks, corals and hundreds of reed fish species make for varied scenery.
