As the effect of anesthesia wears off, Amal examines her life, All 45 years of it. This monodrama will take audiences on a roller coaster ride of battling with fears, voices and dreams. All this juxtapose with clips from the media, talking about Amal's condition. This project is supported by the British Council, My Right programme. This event is free but requires pre-registration. Falaki Theatre American University in Cairo, Downtown Campus, 24 Falaki St, Downtown Cairo, Tel 012 8872 1446 Ma'at Ra', in this contemporary musical theatre performance, you will witness: how a dancer can become a music composer, how a musician can display a painting with his music and how an actor can perform a script as if it's a music track. In this performance the audience will see how any artistic expression in a certain field can transform into a parallel expression in another artistic field. Ten artists from different fields with diverse talents will be presenting a contemporary performance and will exchange different methods of artistic expression using music, movement, and acting. The performance's idea has been inspired by the works of the American music composer John Cage in his book, Song Books. (Friday4 November, 8pm and Saturday 5 November, 9.10pm).
