Falaki Theatre

Measure for Measure,is a Jacobean play written by William Shakespeare. This is the first time it is ever performed in Egypt. The play explores the fine line between justice and mercy, giving a range of characters having to adapt to different forms of extremism. The play's script was translated into classical Arabic by Dr. Mohamed Anany, and adapted into colloquial Egyptian Arabic by Waleed Hammad, who is also the director of the play,and Omnia Taha.The creative team includes voice and movement director: Voice and movement director Maria Doyle, light designer Omar Madkour, costume designer Laila Mansour and sound designer Bassem Al-Kahki. It casts among others Ahmed Shamaa - The King, Mohamed Arafa – Escalus, Bassem Al-Kahki – Angelo, Salma Tarek - Mesteweya Hanem (Mistress Overdone), Ali El-Sabh – Lucio, Hussein Gawdat - Bomba (Pompey), Ahmed Saleh– Claudio and is directed by Waleed Hammad

Inbox, a play revolving around the dilemma of modern man who escapes his reality to a virtual world, starring Abdel-Rehim Hassan, Iman Imam and Wafaa Al-Sayed, written by Sameh Mahran and directed by Galal Osman.
