They play a wide range of instruments, including the rababa (spike fiddle), the kawala (end-blown flute) and the arghul (double pipe, single-reed woodwind). Their songs celebrate Upper Egyptian culture, the lyrics speaking of love and marriage, the beauty of nature, birthdays and circumcisions.
