This year the Panorama of the European Film – founded by Misr International Films “Youssef Chahine” and organised by Zawya – comes back in its 8th edition with more venue expansions and selections of more than 60 films to be screened to the audience in Cairo at Zawya and Karim cinemas and outside Cairo at Alexandria (Amir Cinema), Minya (Cityscape Cinema) and Tanta (Rivoli Cinema). Limited screenings will be held at Point 90 Cinema in New Cairo, Plaza Cinema in 6 October city in addition to free screenings at several cultural centres (French Institute in Mounira, Italian Cultural Institute in Zamalek and Goethe Institute). Panorama sections are: European Cinema will include films like (45 Years, I'm Dead But I Have Friends, The Lobster, The Magic Mountain and My Mother), Selected Shorts, Emerging Directors, Documentary Rendez-Vous, Carte Blanche, Panorama Classics. The Panorama will feature films from the Balkan region such as (Enclave, Goodnight Sarajevo, The High Sun and Three Windows and a Hanging) and pays tribute to the legendary Portuguese director Manoel De Oliveira.
