The 7th annual Cairo Jazz Festival (15-18 October)
Thur 15,8pm: The highlight of the festival is Lebanese singer Rima Khcheich, who is famous for having given its'rebirth to the Andalusian form muwashah, as well as to the traditional Arabic repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries, together with her Dutch Jazz line-up Rima presents her Jazzy interpretation through her new album Hawa (love). The concert is brought by the support of the Culture resource travel support program for Arab artists “Mawa'eed” (Dates).

BAB El-Bahr Festival: Alexandria Sings and Sousse Talks to the World
The festival features discussions, debates, workshops and exhibitions in addition to a full day of a festive programme that includes activities for children and young people. The second edition of BAB EL-Bahr (the sea door) festival this year is taking place in Alexandria and Tunisia respectively (2 to 3 October in Sousse, Tunisia) and (9 to 10 October in Alexandria, Egypt).
