On the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo, in collaboration with the Cairo Opera House, will hold a full programme of events between October 2013 and March 2014 in Cairo.
The programme is as follows:
Performance of Aida opera with the Cairo Opera Orchestra and the participation of two Italian artists at the Cairo Opera House Main Hall on 24 and 27 October, 7pm.
Inauguration of the photography exhibition “From Villa Verdi to Cairo:The untraveled journey”, by Sandro Vannini.
Presentation of the book Viva Villa Verdi, by Roberto Mottadelli and Sandro Vannini.
