¨ In the presence of Egyptian and foreign diplomats, the Chinese Ambassador to Cairo Song Aiguo celebrated the 64th national day of China. The lavish reception party began with a speech delivered by Aiguo in which he stressed that his country is following closely the status quo in Egypt and that it respects the choices of the Egyptian people who are on their quest for stability, development and prosperity. Among the attendees were ambassadors of Cyprus, Poland, Georgia, England, France, Canada as well as Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq. Present were painter Farid Fadel, the Ministry of Tourism Counsellor for Asian affairs Nasser Abdel-Aal, the head of the Lions Club Awatef Serageddin and the head of the Afro-Asian Lawyers Union Esmat Al-Merghani.
