Tue 12, 7pm: “Artist Talk” introduces Cairo-based artist Daniel Rode who was born in Eutin, Germany in 1971. He first studied Art and Educational Sciences at Greifswald University where he afterwards worked as an assistant professor for five years. From 2002 until 2006 he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden. Besides his own art practice he ran the independent art space MODUL in Dresden. Since 2009 he has been living and working mainly in Cairo.
