Around 500 workers of the Misr Menufia Textile Company are demonstrating in front of the Menufiya governorate headquarters in the Delta city of Shebin el-Kom. The workers, who for the past three months have been paid their wages from an emergency fund, have yet to receive their wages for the month of March. According to an urgent statement issued by the Center for Trade Union and Workers Services, the workers had, on 2 April, gone to the labor bureau in Quesna to receive their wages, but were told that the minister of manpower and labor had not signed their check because he was too busy with other affairs.
