Guard of judge overseeing Morsi's case shot dead in Nile Delta
The slain officer was guarding a judge overseeing the ousted president's trial on charges of inciting the killing of peaceful protesters

Police sergeant Abdullah Ali, a guard of one of the judges overseeing the "Itihadya" trial of Mohamed Morsi, was shot dead earlier on Friday in Egypt's Mansoura in the Daqahlia governorate.
The 40-year-old died after recieving three gunshots, including one in the heart, according to Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
According to Aswat Masriya news website, he was shot by four masked men on a motorcyle.
Later on Friday, thousands participated in Ali's funeral, chanting against the Muslim Brotherhood who they accuse of being behind his death.
"Such accidents will not affect the will of Egypt and Egyptians to resond to terrorism," read a statement issued by the Egyptian cabinet mourning the officer's death.
Last Monday, a policeman was shot in the head by unknown assailants while on his way home in Nile Delta's Sharqiya governorate which has seen at least fourteen security personnel including one army officer killed in drive-by shootings since the beginning of February .
Hundreds of police and military personnel have been killed since the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi last July, as security forces launched an intensive crackdown on militant groups in the restive Sinai peninsula.
