Egypt's doctors, pharmacists, dentists and veterinarians started on Wednesday their second partial strike in Cairo and several governorates, demanding improved financial and work conditions. They had commenced the new year with a first partial strike on 1 January. The state's Ministry of Finance has set a draft law– which has received initialCabinetapproval –expected to influence some 464,000 medical professionals with compensations and bonuses to be gradually implemented over three years.
