Haras El-Hodoud suffered their second defeat in as many Egyptian Premier League games after losing 1-0 to Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday. Striker Saied Kamal needed 14 minutes to put Petrojet ahead, with El-Hodoud struggling to convert a slew of chances. The army-owned club also lost their first game against promoted Minya last week. Elsewhere, Port Said-based club Masry, who are back in the top flight after ending a self-imposed exile, played out a 1-1 draw with Ittihad El-Shorta to atone for an opening 2-0 defeat by Zamalek. Masry midfielder Abdel-Aziz Tawfik opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime but El-Shorta's in-form striker Qamar secured a share of spoils two minutes past the hour mark. Wadi Degla crushed newcomers Minya 6-0. Goals from forward Mostafa Talaat (two), Akwety Mensah, Abdel-Fattah Al-Agha, Saladin Said and Sayed Salem gave Degla an impressive win. Talae El-Gaish, who drew with Petrojet in the first matchday, shared honours with Qanah in a 1-1 draw. Ismaily host Beni Suef Telephones later on Sunday.
