Wadi Degla registered their biggest-ever Egyptian Premier League victory, romping to a thumping 6-0 win over newly-promoted side Minya. Egypt Cup-finalists Degla entered the dressing rooms three goals up, courtesy of strikes from Mostafa Talaat and Ghanaian midfielder Akwetey Mensah as Syrian frontman Abdul-Fattah Al-Agha headed the third. Talaat came again to make it four after the interval, with Ethiopia striker Saladin Saied and Al-Sayed Salem completing the rout. Harras Hodoud continued their stumbling start to their league campaign, slipping to another narrow defeat to Petrojet after opening their season with a surprise 2-1 loss at the hands of newcomers Minya. A 15th minute strike from midfielder Saied Kamal was enough for the visitors to claim all three points as the two-time Egypt Cup champions failed to draw level. Gaish claimed another draw in their second league game, playing out a 1-1 draw with Canal after recording the same result last week with Petrojet. Despite playing at home, the military outfit needed a stoppage-time goal from Islam Kamal to cancel out former Arab Contractors Nigerian hitman Musa Kabiru's first-half goal. Police Union star striker Khaled Kamar hit his third league goal on his second match, grabbing the leveler after falling to Abdul-Aziz's Tawfik's first-half goal to hold Masri to a 1-1 draw. Ghanaian star John Antwi bagged another brace to make it four goals in two games, steering Ismaili to a 3-1 victory against Beni Suef Telephones. After netting a seventh minute opener in style, Antwi smashed another spot-kick home three minutes from the interval as he was strongly involved in the Dervishes' third, scored by Shawki Al-Saied. Beni Suef Telephones, however, refused to leave the game without scoring - with Wael Farag hitting a magnificent chipped ball past the hosts' keeper Mohamed Awwad one minute from the end.
