Egypt striker Amr Zaki leaves Al-Salmiya: Report
Pharaohs striker reportedly leaves Kuwaiti club he joined in June, has denied planning return to Egypt

Egypt striker Amr Zaki has parted company with Kuwaiti club Al-Salmiya, according to Kuwaiti online newspaper Alrai.
"Zaki ended his relationship with Al-Salmiya after receiving his financial dues in a friendly meeting with the club officials," club treasurer Ahmed Al-Eteby told the newspaper.
"Zaki is a great player with high ethics but he wasn't lucky enough with us.
"We were eager to end the matter in a friendly way and all reports about a rift with the player are just rumours. Zaki had a good relationship with everyone at Al-Salmiya," added El-Eteby, insisting the club had not received any offers for the Pharaohs attacker.
Zaki was recently linked with a return to former club Zamalek in January, but both the club and the player have denied this.
"I'm not thinking of playing in Egypt at the moment. If I am considering leaving in January, I would prefer to play in Europe or the Gulf," Zaki said in November.
The former Wigan and Hull City forward demonstrated remarkable presence during the Pharaohs' World Cup playoff on 19 November. He maintained constant pressure on Ghana's defence, scoring the first goal in a 2-1 home victory.
Zaki made his debut for Egypt in 2004, helping them win the African Nations Cup in 2006 and 2008.
The 30-year-old attacker was released by Elazigspor last January after failing to make an impact during his six-month spell in the Turkish league.
Zaki joined Al-Salmiya in June, but only scored twice in a limited number of appearances.
