El-Hadary's adventure in Sudan ends as the veteran keeper decides to return to Egypt

Former Egypt goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary decided to return to Egypt after his contract with Sudanese side El-Merrikh ran out on Monday.
El-Hadary's Sudanese adventure came to an end after El-Merreikh won the domestic cup at the expense of arch-rivals Al-Hilal.
The 40-year-old, who missed the final due to injury, expressed his delight after winning the title, stressing it was a "good end of his spell in Sudan."
"My contract with El-Merrikh ended on Monday," El-Hadary told Ahram Sports on Tuesday.
"This title is the 37th in my career and I am very happy with this achievement. I missed the final but I played an important role with the club during the previous rounds."
The veteran keeper said he will consider his future during the coming few days as he is in contact with several Egyptian clubs over a possible move.
The former Ahly, Zamalek and Ismaily keeper joined El-Merreikh in 2011, winning the Sudanese league in the same year and helping the club clinch two cup titles in 2012 and 2013.
